Video Review – Nokia Asha 501

Nokia Asha 501

The Asha 501 is the latest low cost feature phone from Nokia. The first phone running the Nokia Asha Platform 1.0. Nokia comes closer and closer to the smartphone territory with their feature phones. Watch the video review from FoneArena after the break.

Nokia Asha 501 specifications:

  • 3-inch QVGA display
  • 1 GHz processor
  • 128MB of built-in storage
  • 4GB MMC included expandable up to 32GB
  • 3.2-megapixel camera on the back (without flash)
  • WiFi, Micro USB
  • 1,200 mAh battery

Nokia has announced that the Asha 501 will cost around $99 (before taxes and subsidies), but in certain markets it can be found way below that (for ex. around $80 in India).

This phone makes me miss the Nokia N9 even more. But I’m glad to see that the excellent swipe UI still lives in some form.
