Smartphone market is the only market that placed luck even after the oil prices have fluctauted eevry market in the world. A new report by Canalys says that13 per cent of all phones shipped in EMEA in Q2 were smartphone Amoungst which

1. 58 per cent of devices had integrated Wi-Fi,
2. 13 per cent had stylus or finger-driven touch screens and 38 per cent had integrated GPS.

Report says that Nokia is still the toper by some margin.What really is enticing is that other players are also seeing groeth in their respective markets. RIM is closing the market share gap by several points,HTC, Motorola and Samsung more than doubling their shipments.

Early this month Motorola has announced its latest line of cellphones meant for preyapay  market. These  devices include W388 and the W396 which were low end phones .Now itsZN200. We know that Motorola ZN200 was relased last month in Brazil but now it has also been included for over all release in global market.

ZN200 is is a low end slider phone phone with 2-megapixel camera with a recording option , a 2GB of external memory, plus 30 MB of internal memory, MP3 player and FM radio.Motorola ZN200 CrystalTalk technology by which you can hear and be heard, even in noisy environments.

Lots of times when you are talking on low charges for data and contnet advertsiing seems to be  the only option just like the practice of offering discounts on nearly everything at the grocery store in exchange for personal information and permission to track our shopping activities . I musts say this phenomena has been in discussions for quite some time but it seems not popularly acceptable.

A research conducted by Dynamic Logic has these findings •

59% said the mobile ads made them more interested in the advertised brand.
62% said it gave a good impression of the brands being advertised.

This research suggests that participants are happy to view pre-rolls ads, providing the advertising is matched appropriately to the video content; that the recall of advertising was high and that 59% reported they were ‘more interested in the brand being advertised’, as a result of seeing the ad. “I believe that understanding what your customers want to view is a key to the success of every targeted mobile advertising campaign”

Apple Iphone which has already sold 3 million phones since its new 3G phone is set to launch in India form 22nd September. The phone is set to be launched through private telecom operators Bharti Airtel and Vodafone.

Iphone will be on sale for Bharti Airtel’s 69 million subscribers at present and Vodafone Essar 49 million subscribers. This means a  lot for other device competitors like Nokia and Sony Ericsson .India is one of the 20 countries set to get the iPhone on the second worldwide release date which is August 22nd.

The price is not confirmed as hte Indian telcos are not disclosing the price of iPhone at this point.Iphone is embedded with all 3G (third generation mobile telephony) features and is twice as fast as the existing mobile phones. The phone also has in-built GPS system, that facilitates as a navigation and positioning tool.

Well phone after phones AT&T the largest North American mobile carrier is now set to bring W760 by Sony Ericsson. This feature-full slider is similar to the popular W580, but adds 3G, GPS, and steps up to a 3 megapixel camera.
