Google Maps now available for Android 1.6 devices

Google Maps  update is amazing for upcoming  Android 2.0 devices, which is currently used in particular Motorola Droid. The new version works with Android 1.6 and upwards, which therefore means Goggle Maps for  Sony Ericsson’s XPERIA X10 with Android.

Google calls the update for the Google Maps navigation, and there is no doubt that just the navigation part is the big news. You can also talk directly to the program via the speech recognition from Google Voice. Apart from the demonstration video, it appears to be a very advanced speech recognition feature that cleverly can capture even cumbersome phrases.
