Best Windows Mobile can be found in HTC Touch HD2, which is an upgraded and improved version of the previous model, the HTC Touch HD. The display has grown, hardware replaced with something more powerful, and then cuddled a bit more for the design of HTC HD2. The result is an even faster smart phone with a stunning screen – which will be compared with Google’s Android phone, Nexus One. You can buy both of these as contract phones .

HTC HD2 is equipped with a 1Ghz Snapdragon processor, 448 MB RAM and 512 MB ROM – ie. that mobile is actually stronger than the one desktop PCs sold to small ten years ago. And it really felt! HTC HD2 is prompt in service; programs start up immediately shuts down without hesitation, websites load just as fast as on a laptop and waiting times seem generally rare. This is one of HTC HD2’s forces and one of the things that make it an interesting alternative compared to the rest of the market today.
The large display of 4.3 “fills almost the entire front of the phone – there are only a few millimeters of plastic around the screen and a thin row of buttons underneath. So there is not much wasted space purely design-wise, the phone is indeed thinner than its predecessor – and thinner than Apple iPhone. It is made of glass, aluminum and high quality plastic and appear extremely delicious generally.
HTC HD2 can communicate via WiFi, 3G/HSDPA and Bluetooth, so nothing is missing on the front. It is equipped with a really good GPS and Google Maps, and the back of the HTC HD2 is a 5-megapixel camera with autofocus and LED flash. There is not much internal memory, but there is room for expansion with MicroSD cards.
Google Nexus One:
The first thing you notice when you switch the phone display. It is an AMOLED display with a resolution of 800 x 480 There are just lost in both color, light and contrast and it looks simply gorgeous. The control system is of course the latest version of Google’s Andriod system. Version 2.1 is not in any Danish version yet, so all menus are in English. You can however download a Scandinavian keyboard on Android Market, so you have no problems with the texting and email.

All in all, I had a very positive impression of Nexus One. The hardware is solid and delicious, Android system also works here in version 2.1 sub-label. However, I still find situations where I think “What am I now?”. It just does not quite so logical and thoughtful as the iPhone OS. It is without doubt the best alternative I’ve tried to date for the iPhone.
If someone would tell me that they had bought a Nokia N97 I would call vedkommede a klaphat. But when my friend showed me his new Nexus One, I said congratulations. It is a really nice phone. If we lived in a world without the iPhone, it would very probably be my phone.
