According to Flurry analyst Simon Khalaf, predicts that the number of applications and games into Android Market, which is Google mobile software and games shop for Android phones, is likely to end up at between 100,000 and 150,000 applications at the end of 2010. There are currently around 20,000 applications in the Android Market.

Khalaf believes that this is made possible by Google, Motorola and Verizon’s overall effort to advertise Droid and thus Android operating system. Motorola has experienced great success with the Droid in the U.S. market, and leaked information about Nexus One, believed to be Google’s own mobile, has also generated interest around Android. Additionally, a number expected Android phones during 2010, and hence more applications.

If Khalaf prediction must come true, it is therefore necessary, with about several thousand more applications in the program store. Hence will also issue no more attention should focus on quality over quantity? A greater variety of programs, which in principle can do the same thing will undoubtedly could confuse some users.
