HP has announced a new Android device today which is kind of a competitor to Asus Transformer series among other devices. The device is a 10 inch tablet with a keyboard dock, a 1920×1200 IPS display, Tegra 4 processor and 64GB of storage.

The teblet has quite nice specs even as a stand-alone device, with a 1920×1200 IPS display, Tegra 4 processor and 64GB of storage. The SlateBook x2 is also shipping with Android 4.2.2, and what looks like very limited customizations from HP. That hopefully means that HP will push out fast updates in the future, which might be a selling point.

The docking station also has a few selling points. It has a full keyboard and trackpad, along with a USB port, SDcard slot and an additional battery to charge the tablet.

Based on the information from Androidcentral, the HP SlateBook x2 is expected to ship in August in both grey and white lid colors, and the pricing seems quite nice at $479.99 in the US. I haven’t been able to find any information on European prices.
