Google Maps  update is amazing for upcoming  Android 2.0 devices, which is currently used in particular Motorola Droid. The new version works with Android 1.6 and upwards, which therefore means Goggle Maps for  Sony Ericsson’s XPERIA X10 with Android.

Does it all
Google calls the update for the Google Maps navigation, and there is no doubt that just the navigation part is the big news. You can make ingenious use of Google’s search engine when looking for locations. An example could be that you wanted to find a restaurant in the province or maybe a parking lot.

You can also talk directly to the program via the speech recognition from Google Voice. Apart from the demonstration video, it appears to be a very advanced speech recognition feature that cleverly can capture even cumbersome phrases.

Apple’s iPhone was on sales in France in 2007, exclusively through Orange . Increased competition among operators has obviously benefited Apple. They have doubled their sales in a short time, “says Pierre Ferragu at Bernstein, a company marketing analysis.

Iphone sales

the survey claims 600 000 iPhones  were purchased  in the last quarter. There are remarkable figures given the Iphone only 2.6 percent of total world market for mobile phones. Similar developments are expected in England, where customers of both O2 by Orange and Vodafone will soon be able to choose an iPhone.

Apple also had high hopes for the Chinese market where the operator China Unicom launched the iPhone on sale in 2000 at the end of October this year. But despite the fact that China Unicom has 140 million subscribers, was sold only 5000 handsets during the first week, which was significantly less than expected. One of the reasons for the disappointing sales could be that iPhone is cheaper in the widespread black market. Another may be that the authorities banned the Apple to sell phones with wifi function for surfing the wireless network.

In Sweden, launched Iphone bound to Telia subscriptions in 2008 but sold since the beginning of the year, even with Halebop and Telenor contract. Subscription period has expired, however, it can unlock it for 300 £ in a Vodafone shop. It is executed within (maximum) five days when the phone connect to iTunes.

Motorola is working an another Android device. A new picture of a model that also use the Android operating system, has now emerged. And it is a bit peculiar. Motorola has codename it as Motus, and we have previously heard about it when it was leaked on a slide, where it was indicated that it would come in the first quarter of next year. Together with the first real picture of the model, there also appeared several specifications up.

Motorola Motus Features
In addition to the somewhat different design from Motorola Dexter it will use  Android OS 1.5 with Motorola’s own Motoblur interface.
Motorola Motus  will feature a 3.1 inch large touch screen and a camera at 5 megapixels. Turbo-3G, WiFi and GPS should also be found in the model. Motorola Motus will have a reverse flip-keyboard. It is rather difficult to see from the picture, but when the camera seems to be on the same side as the keyboard, the keyboard will appear to be on the back of the model when it is folded. Furthermore, should there be a touch pad on the back, which can be used to navigate with. Exactly what will work remains to be seen.

There is no clue on  price at this time
